My friends and I had a case of Expectations vs Reality for this one.
We wanted to sleep at a lounge or hotel at the airport, but they were all fully booked. We watched (and I fell asleep) “Spiderman Homecoming” at the free movie theater instead. Yes, there is a movie theater at the airport, this is Changi after all (they also have lots of gardens, a pool and some hotels).
We wanted to join a free tour (yes from the airport itself), but it was also fully booked. So we changed some money and took the MRT to the city by ourselves instead.
We took the MRT to Raffles station and walked around a bit.
I saw some Material balls (it’s a game developer joke).
We saw there was a Ferry Tour so we took it. I also saw some of giant versions of my current addiction: Tokidoki’s Mermicornos.
They had a one way or a two way option. We just took the one way option, because we thought it would be fun to check out whatever is one the other end.
And at the end of the ferry, sure enough it’s something interesting- Marina Bay Sands and the Artscience Museum.
And there was a teamLab exhibit, which we obviously visited.
This exhibit is more interactive than the one I visited in Shanghai.
Like you can draw a car, animals, a person and the you scan it and will be turned into a 3D object and even animated.
It’s also great for selfies.
The exhibit even included one in Marina Bay Sands, and we also got to explore the mall a bit.
Finally, the currently most hyped and IGed place in Singapore – Jewel at Changi.
Take the Skytrain between T2 and T3 to get an awesome view of the indoor waterfalls and forest.
And a summary video…
And that’s it. That’s how we spent 14 hours in Singapore!
